INDIVIDUAL PARCELS SHIPPING INFORMATION
POLONEZ Parcel Service is a licensed shipper
of parcels to Poland and other European countries. We ship by SEA and AIR.
There are two methods of shipping
parcels. First is through one of our 400 collection agencies (contact us
to find out the location of the nearest one). The other one is direct and
is described below.
Send your parcel from your place to POLONEZ
Headquarters using UPS (United Parcel Service) or USPS (United States Postal
Service). Next, POLONEZ will forward your parcel to it's destination.
How to prepare a parcel?
Pack things you want to ship into a strong cardboard box. Ensure that
all pieces are packed tightly. If necessary, fill gaps with paper or other
material. Seal the box with a packaging tape. Write sender's (in the top
left corner) and recipient's (in the center) addresses on the box. Weigh
the parcel. Calculate shipping fees and insurance.
Put your check or money order along with Shipping
Declaration into an envelope.
Address it to
POLONEZ Parcel Service
143 Doty Circle
W. Springfield, MA 01089
seal it and tape it over the recipient's
address. The parcel is ready for shipping.
Please note, that Shipping
Declaration is required by customs and insufficient parcel declaration
may prevent us from delivering your parcel.
Please be advised, that actual sea and
air parcels' weight used to calculate shipment charges applies only to
gift parcels with content like food or clothes. Different rules apply
to large size and underweight parcels. Correct charges for a such sea
parcel can be based on a weight calculated by multiplying length x
width x height of a parcel box in inches, divided into 140 producing valid
parcel weight in lbs.
formula: (
length x width x height ) / 140 = parcel weight in lbs
Air parcel weght should be calculated by multiplying length x width x
height of a parcel box in inches, divided into 166 producing valid parcel
weight in lbs.
formula: ( length x width x height ) / 166 =
parcel weight in lbs
Please calculate charges based on a larger of actual weight
or calculated weight using above formula.
